Salt Lake Temple Remodeling

Early this morning, 12:00 am to be precise, a group of ward members went down to the Salt Lake Temple to help with the remodeling efforts. Most of the ward members spent their time in the Creation and Garden rooms removing chairs and salvaging the metal and plastic. A few of the others removed wallpaper, carpet, worked with sheet metal and the heating ducts, taped down protective coverings on the floors and moved other pieces of furniture. We had a four hour shift, so we worked until 4:00 am. It was fun to be able to move so freely throughout the temple and see areas that you would never otherwise see. And amazingly, the time flew by. Everybody who went had a good time and was grateful for the opportunity to serve.
